High, Dry & Rock Bottom
There are many here among us who would merely scoff at the invocation of Joe Elliot, circa 1981, or assume implicit some ironic joke in his appearance in a sketchbook of mine. This is not the case, however. For those few who have been initiated into the higher levels of awareness, it is recognized the all-to-brief moment in time when Def Leppard could claim rule over the earth, a claim that was as real and as true as anything can be. Actually, the guitar solo/Rock Bottom/drum solo note at the top of the page was merely a reminder for a song structure for a new cut on the the upcoming Smacks! album. And Joe Elliot, circa '81, just seemed fit to accompany this intent of memory.
This blog contains archived sketchbook (and otherwise) images by J.T. Dockery. However, the new Tumblr version of Covertly takes care of the more strictly visual now. Here you will find news and reviews, whatever requires stringing together actual sentences.

Drive me crazier, no serenade
No fire brigade, just Pyromania
I remember when MH was playing Def Leppard at his house many years and you were bagging on him pretty bad for liking blatantly commercial metal.
